How it works

Unlike typical health plans where you pay a premium for health insurance, self-funding means that you pay for your employees covered health care claims directly.

  • You create a customized benefit plan not subject to state-mandated benefits.
  • Your employees receive an ID card and have a provider network, similar to a traditional health plan.
  • You can chose from an array of a-la-carte wellness and population health strategies, as well as disease management and incentive programs.
  • Everything is managed by MVP Select Care, providing Administrative Services Only (ASO).
