Rest assured that with MVP, college student dependents outside the service area are covered for seasonal flu vaccines and the administration of H1N1 flu vaccine -- with no prior approval required! Please note:

• In some cases, the member will be required to pay for services upfront and submit the claim to MVP for reimbursement.
• All services may be subject to the applicable copay/coinsurance/deductible, and coverage is subject to the provisions in the applicable policy Contract.
• Applies to groups that have preventive health care coverage.

MVP health plans also cover a variety of medically necessary services for students out of area (subject to the member’s applicable copay/coinsurance/deductible):

• Student health center services
• Emergency and urgent care
• Follow-up/maintenance health services such as allergy shots, physical therapy, lab work or post-emergency follow up care (prior approval by PCP and/or MVP may be required, depending on plan)
• For MVP HMO plans with student coverage riders, students have $2500 allowance for out of area coverage
• MVP Preferred EPO and PPO health plan members have access to a national network of more than 500,000 doctors - with no referrals.
